Scrutiny on tax deals needed

Somewhere between the improvident giveaway and the moratorium, a reasonable policy on tax incentives for developers and job creators is necessary for a city like Bridgeport, a city still needing an infustion of vitality. Bridgeport's city council is certainly right to demand answers on the nuts and bolts of deals that Mayor Bill Finch 's administration puts together to entice developers to break ground on projects that are going to create housing and/or jobs and, ultimately, taxes.
