Bridgeport man pleads guilty to stealing checks

A Bridgeport man who stole mail containing blank checks or credit card "convenience checks," which he then used to buy cars, motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles for sale online has pleaded guilty. Prosecutors say Jackson hit homes in Fairfield County in 2013 and this year to steal the checks, and sold his purchases to unsuspecting victims from out of state.
