Greenwich Selectmen to Vote on New Lebanon School Plan

The board will hold a special meeting June 29 to consider the plan to rebuild the neighborhood school in Byram. The Greenwich Board of Selectmen have scheduled a special meeting for Monday evening to vote on whether to grant municipal improvement status for the proposed rebuilding of New Lebanon School.

Walking Tour of Byram This Weekend

As part of the Town of Greenwich's 375th Anniversary celebration, the series of neighborhood tours will continue this weekend. Byram resident and architect Patricia Baiardi Kantorski will be guiding the next tour through central Byram on Saturday, June 27. Prior to the tour, Kantorski will share the stories about Byram's history in a slide presentation at the Byram Shubert Library on Mead Avenue, beginning at 10 a.m. Immediately afterwards, the free architectural walking tour of central Byram will focus on buildings highlighted in the presentation.

Byram Parents Rally for 'Scheme B' New Lebanon School Plan

The Greenwich Board of Selectmen is waiting for the Board of Education to decide next Tuesday on which plan it will recommend for the rebuilding of New Lebanon School in Byram. Meanwhile at the selectmen's meeting Thursday, parents made it clear there community unity in support of what is called Scheme B - a plan to build a new 57,000 square foot school on the adjacent athletic fields on William Street West.
