Connecticut is far ahead of many states in dealing with child sex trafficking but still needs more money to train police, teachers and first responders to recognize and understand the problem, experts said Monday. Several of the government and anti-human trafficking officials who met here said Hartford and Bridgeport have the only big-city police departments in the state that are making a concentrated effort to combat the child sex trade.
