The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference denied Enfield schools' request to merge the two high schools' football teams this fall, according to a school official. IF as reported...the returning kids who are playing are just a few over the limit ..25, AND the next year the schools will be merged as one..cost effective I am thinking considering children attending the two high schools..me thinks the CIAC would act as adults and think as adults and not... The CIAC, according to spokesman Joel Cookson, does not comment on committee decisions, but Enfield athletic director Barry Bernstein said the CIAC denied the football teams' application to be combined into one team this fall.
