Martha Brackeen-Harris remembers the segregated drinking fountains, sitting on the back of the bus and lodging in dorm rooms at black colleges instead of hotels. But more vividly, Brackeen-Harris remembers meeting Martin Luther King Jr. in 1965, as he was a friend of her father, a Baptist minister from Pennsylvania.
