Bridgeport church steeple will be "beacon of hope'

When a $357,000 restoration of the First Congregational Church steeple is complete this spring, it will once again be a beacon to Park City residents. But while the steeple of the 90-year-old Park Avenue church was once used by ships on Long Island Sound to guide them into Bridgeport Harbor, "it will be a beacon of hope for all of us, showing that Bridgeport is coming back and that this church is not going anywhere,'' the Rev.
