Violent crime in Connecticut's three big cities fell by nearly 15 percent in 2013 from the year before, according to a new report that also indicates the statewide drop of 10 percent is twice the national average of 5 percent. A report on criminal justice trends finds that anti-crime programs in Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford are responsible for half the state's overall cut in violent crime.
