State Says Future Of Manchester Shelter A Local Issue

Although the state stands ready to help, the final decision on maintaining or closing a homeless shelter in town should be made locally, a state Department of Housing spokesman said Wednesday. "It is unfortunate that MACC has chosen to close their shelter, but we acknowledge that it is fully within their right to choose to take such action," agency spokesman Dan Arsenault said.
