Thursday July 1st 5:30pm-8:30pm

I hope to see you at our home on tonight for a low-key night of fun, family, good food, and good company.

While I am out there campaigning, I do ask that you will make a generous contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 to my efforts to beat Jim Himes this fall. I need your financial support to win this election.

P.S. Also please check out my latest OPED in the Connecticut post about the simularities between Dan Debicella and Jim Himes.

Sincerely,

PRESS RELEASE:Bridgeport Congressional Candidate Rick Torres Unveils “Rickʼs Roadmap to Economic Recovery”

Torres Unveils “Rickʼs Roadmap to Economic Recovery”
To bring jobs to Connecticut

Rick Torres, congressional candidate in Connecticutʼs 4th district, unveiled his Road Map for Economic Recovery Friday to supporters, Republican Town Council leaders, and reporters in Norwalk. “Jobs, taxes and spending” were the highlights of Torresʼ plan to breathe new life into the Connecticutʼs economy.

“I promise to fight to implement these policies in Washington. This Road Map is a collaborative effort with business leaders who have agreed to participate in my Roundtable of Economic Advisors,” Torres said. “The people of Connecticut are not responding well to the burdensome costs placed upon them by the federal government. My plan will accelerate the nationʼs progress back to economic prosperity.”

Torresʼ Road Map, titled “Rickʼs Roadmap to Economic Recovery,” is the product of business, academic and political minds that made up his Economic Roundtable. “There have been many educated opinions included in the production of this plan and considering what is at risk, this plan is Americaʼs best chance of economic competitiveness and job creation.” Torres said.

Rickʼs Roadmap had three main components; Jobs, Taxes and Spending. To create jobs, Torres recommends reducing corporate taxes; Americaʼs is one of the highest in the world. He also suggests reducing burdensome regulation, citing one roundtable participate who said he was ʻchoking on compliance regulationsʼ which forced him to expend his limited resources

Torres added. “Secure jobs for the men and women in Connecticut and the United States will alleviate much of the burden that Americans feel every day. More private sector jobs will lead to higher revenue for the Government and alleviate many of the costs of welfare and unemployment.”
