Stratford Police Charge Woman with Defrauding Bank

Stratford police have charged a Bridgeport woman with allegedly stealing $2,300 from The Milford Bank in Stratford by using a phony check scheme, according to the Connecticut Post. The Post reports Anna Rodriguez, 25, of Bond Street in Bridgeport, opened an account using a counterfeit check from a credit union and made withdrawals of $200 and $2,100 on the next two days.
