Nurse awarded $400k in job suit

A federal jury awarded $400,000 to a Brookfield nurse whose job was terminated after her family and medical leave expired and who was then turned down for other positions in the company. The jury found Thursday in favor of Connie Sue Summerlin , a registered nurse, and her lawyer Thomas Bucci , a former Bridgeport mayor, against Almost Family Inc. , a private home care nursing agency with offices in Danbury.
