Dozens of riders on ATVs, dirtbikes and street bikes wreaked havoc across Bridgeport Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 while evading cops and speeding through city streets. City officials are counting on tougher local laws and steeper fines to help police crack down on what has become a summertime hazard in Bridgeport and other urban areas where private or public land set aside for riding is scarce to nonexistent.
