According to a 2015-16 budget deal between the school board and city, Bridgeport will pay the district $3.8 million this year, then bill the district for the following in-kind services: -- $1,019,400 toward Worker's Compensation Indemnity -- $876,000 toward school crossing guards -- $349,393 toward sanitation and recycling services -- $45,000 toward snow removal That leaves a $1.5 million balance of new money. If the state determines the city must pay more than $1.5 million overall, the city's bill for in-kind services would be reduced by that amount.
