Bridgeport budget funds school nurses, immigrant IDs

The City Council passed a new budget Monday that contains two big changes to the mayor's $532 million proposal while preserving his goal of not hiking taxes this election year. The 18-2 vote capped off a quieter than usual budget season as Mayor Bill Finch heads into a potentially tough campaign for a third term against a handful of Democratic challengers.
