Mother, Son Severely Burned In Ridgefield Condo Fire In Critical Condition

An elderly woman and her middle-aged son remain in critical condition at the Connecticut Burn Center in Bridgeport after the son tried to save his mother from an intense fire inside a Ridgefield condominium Thursday night, according to fire officials. Fire Marshall David Lathrop said the fire occurred at the Casagmo Condominiums near the center of town around 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening and that the son, who is in his 50s, was outside the townhouse-style unit at the time when he noticed a fire on the second floor.
