Man Dies in Crash on Route 8 in Shelton

According to State Police, a vehicle was traveling northbound at a high speed on Route 8, north of Exit 13 in Shelton. The driver of the vehicle, Jose Gutierrez, 29, of Bridgeport lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree, coming to an uncontrolled rest in the right shoulder at around 1:44 a.m., police said.
