She was raised in New Haven by her late mother, Ruth Medick, and her late grandparents Anna and Isadore Mintz. Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Valentine of Ocala, Fla., and Twody Schless of Trumbull; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
