Bridgeport store owner shot and killed during robbery

An immigrant store owner who was described as hardworking and a fixture of the city's Portuguese community was shot to death during a robbery at his grocery on Saturday, police said. The 58-year-old owner of Sapiao's Grocery at 351 Lexington Ave. was shot just after 3 p.m. Saturday, police spokesman Bill Kaempffer said.
