Bill to bar corrupt pols from running again faces uncertainty

A bill promoted by Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and other officials aimed at banning public servants found guilty of malfeasance in office from ever running again is meeting revisions in a powerful General Assembly Committee. The Judiciary Committee is considering a form of a proposed bill that would not take effect until next January, months after a potential primary between Finch and Joseph P. Ganim , the city's disgraced former mayor.
