Under Wheelbrator deal: Towns saving cash on trash

After entering into a new contract last year for trash disposal, a coalition of towns in the region are beginning to see significant savings. Last July, Fairfield, Trumbull and eight other municipalities began a new contract with the Wheelabrator trash-to-energy plant in Bridgeport for disposal of their garbage.
