Shelters fill as temperatures plummet

With temperatures plunging and snow coating the region like a sprinkling of powdered sugar, homeless shelters scrambled Tuesday to find space for the have-nots with no warm place to spend the night. "We've been full to capacity for awhile and last night with the bitter cold we squeezed as many in as we possibly could," said Bridgeport Rescue Mission Program Director Linda Casey.
