Police chief defends his driving and his Cadillac

Police Chief Joseph Gaudett Jr. defended both his driving and his city-owned Cadillac Escalade when he took the witness stand Wednesday. Gaudett, who is being sued by a Bridgeport couple who claim he crashed into their car on a downtown street while on his cell phone, not only denied doing anything wrong but contended the couple actually hit him.
