Man gets jail term for embezzling from Westport business

The former comptroller for a Westport-based property management group will spend 10 months in prison for embezzling $108,000 from the company over a four-year period. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Meyer in Bridgeport imposed the term and a $3,000 fine Tuesday on David Liptak, 50, of Milford.
