Man charged with threatening, stalking former girlfriend

Randy Torres , 21, of Houston Avenue, Bridgeport, was taken into custody at his home last Friday for threatening an ex-girlfriend after he failed to show up in court that day on other charges, police said. A woman who dated Torres for about a month and a half called Fairfield police on Jan. 13 and reported that Torres was calling her at her job in Fairfield, both on her cell phone and work phone, threatening to kill her or beat her up if she called police.
