Bridgeport police chief's civil trial continued

The civil trial against Police Chief Joseph Gaudett Jr., who is being sued by a Bridgeport couple who claim he crashed into their car on a downtown street while on his cell phone, has been continued until Feb. 9 to give Gaudett a chance to turn over his cell phone records. Paul Ganim, who represents Roy Padilla-Jimenez and his former girlfriend Lucy Batista, said he has been waiting a year to get the records.
