Stratford gets funding for Exit 33 ramps on I-95

The Greater Bridgeport and Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization has approved $24 million in state and federal funds for construction of two additional ramps at Exit 33 on Interstate 95 . In an amendment to its 2015-2018 State Transportation Improvement Program -- a listing of priority transportation goals approved by both the state and federal departments of transportation -- the regional group allocated the funding for a northbound on-ramp at Ferry Boulevard and a southbound off-ramp near Barnum Avenue Cutoff and Veterans Boulevard.
