A jury on Friday said it could not reach a verdict in the state's murder case against Jermain Richards, a Bridgeport man accused of killing and dismembering an Eastern Connecticut State University student. Richards' defense attorney, John Gulash, said jurors worked for five days to reach a verdict, but told the judge they were helplessly deadlocked Friday afternoon.
