Fairfield Police Find Shoplifting Suspect Hiding Behind Bush At Bank

A suspect in the shoplifting of $27 worth of merchandise from the Stop & Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff in Fairfield was found hiding behind a bush at a nearby bank, police said. George Verras, 55, of Bridgeport, was stopped by Stop & Shop's loss prevention officials as headed out of the store with items hidden in his garments, according to Fairfield Police.
