Bridgeport man sent to prison for leading mail-theft ring

A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for running a mail-theft ring that raided mailboxes around Fairfield County for checks and credit cards. Authorities say he and others used the stolen checks to purchase cars, motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles listed for sale on the Internet.
