Rhonda Eady, Fairfield Resident, 75

Finding her calling as early as 9 years old and learning from her mother, she practiced cutting hair on her four brothers and by age 12 had a following of neighborhood clients who paid her to cut their hair. Not only was she the first and only African-American female to own and operate a barbershop in Bridgeport but she also had the distinction of being the personal barber to former heavyweight boxing champion Floyd Patterson.
