RadioShack to close 1,700 stores, including in Bridgeport area

This week RadioShack filed for bankruptcy after what seemed like years of trudging along as a relic of the tech past. The struggling retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and says it will sell up to 2,400 stores.
