A former student of the Hotchkiss School , in the Lakeville section of Salisbury, filed a lawsuit Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport, alleging he was subjected to ritual sexual hazing by other students when he was 14 years old and was raped by a teacher when he was 15. "The school and its teachers and administrators permitted and condoned the tradition of hazing, and they allowed the sexual assaults to occur without punishment and without even a meaningful threat of punishment," says the lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages. An assistant headmaster, after learning of sexual hazing against the student, did nothing other than ask the student if he was feeling better, according to the lawsuit.
