Two Bridgeport men were taken into custody last Friday night after police said they were breaking into cars in the Jackman Avenue area. One of the men was found hiding in woods and the other behind bushes after a foot chase that apparently included some on-duty firefighters from Fire Station 3. Angel W. Alvarado-Vazquez, 33, of Fairfield Avenue, and Samuel Martinez, 43, of Olive Street, were both charged with four counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of sixth-degree larceny and one count each of interfering with an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
