Traffic Delays Clog I-95, Merritt In Fairfield County For Friday Rush Hour

A multi-vehicle accident on I-95 southbound in Norwalk closed the left and center lanes between Exits 16 and 15. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Traffic was crawling on I-95 northbound from Westport to Bridgeport, although no recent accidents have been reported on the Connecticut Department of Transportation's traffic incidents website . The northbound drive on the Merritt was even worse, with delays extending from New Canaan up to Milford, a distance of nearly 20 miles.
