A Bridgeport woman hired to clean a Westport resident's house is charged with stealing jewelry valued at $40,000 from her employer. Police said the charges stem from an investigation into the theft of a pair of gold-and-diamond earrings valued at $40,000 from the home that she was employed to clean.
