A Stratford man faces carjacking charges after striking a police vehicle while trying to flee from Bridgeport police in a pick-up truck that was reported stolen. According to a police press release, Officers Michael Cavaliere, Manuel Santos and John Pachera were on patrol Saturday in the West Side when a license plate reader attached to their vehicle "hit" on a 2007 Nissan Frontier that had been taken a day earlier in an armed carjacking.
