Ronald Kusterer, great-grandson of Gustave Whitehead, and his wife Therese and son Gustav Weibkopf Kusterer, 14, named after his famous great-great-grandfather, look at the new gravestone supplement which recognizes Gustave Whitehead as the "First in Flight," Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport, Conn. Whitehead flew on August 14th, 1901, two years before the Wright brothers.
