A Bridgeport man who was hired for a painting job at a Fairfield residence in September was arrested on a warrant Thursday for allegedly attempting to steal from the homeowner , according to the Fairfield Citizen. The Citizen reports that the resident notified police when she saw Edgar Fontanez-Soto, 42, of East Main St. in Bridgeport, looking through her purse and wallet in her kitchen .
