The board of education is expected to vote on the budget Tuesday and present it to the board of finance March 11. "[The board] has asked to see what it would look like to bring the number from a 2.47 percent increase to a 1.7 percent increase - basically what the cost of living number increase is," Curtis said, adding that he would present that scenario to the board on Tuesday. Curtis said his budget shows a $1.62 million increase, with the biggest portion being salaries of teachers, administrators and staff.
