The Bridgeport women scored two early second-half goals to beat Philadelphia 2-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Division II soccer championship Friday at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. The Purple Knights , the No. 3 seed in the East Region, will play host Mercy, the second seed, on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the second round.
