Man charged with stealing $2k from grandmother

A Bridgeport man, recently released from prison for assaulting a victim over 60 years old, stole about $2,000 from his grandmother, police said. Andrew Hernandez , 34, of Union Avenue in Bridgeport, was arrested on a warrant Thursday at state Superior Court in Derby and charged with five counts of second-degree identity theft, four counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of third-degree forgery and six counts of computer crimes.
