While participating on a panel about juvenile justice on Thursday, State Rep. Jason Rojas talked about the neighborhood patrol officer who knew Rojas' name growing up, his friends' names, as well as their parents. Rojas said the officer gave him and his friends a lot of leeway when they did "dumb things," eventually earning their trust.
