Dunne abandons bid to stop his US bankruptcy trial

The move means Mr Dunne's bankruptcy trial, which will involve in-depth scrutiny of his financial affairs, including the transfer of tens of millions of euro worth of assets to his wife, will now go ahead next year. Lawyers for the Carlow-born developer contacted the US Bankruptcy Court in Bridgeport, Connecticut, yesterday and informed it Mr Dunne was no longer seeking to have his case dismissed.
