Metro-North Engineer Sues Over Bridgeport Crash; 8 Passengers Settle

Eight passengers injured when two Metro-North trains collided last year in Bridgeport have settled lawsuits through mediation with a federal judge. The settlement come as the engineer on the train struck by an on-coming train that derailed filed a separate suit in U.S. District Court against Metro-North, alleging that the railroad had a "deficient safety culture" that prized on-time performance at the expense of safety.
