Joseph Carey, 23, of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor on Oct. 23. According to police, Carey turned himself in on an outstanding warrant stemming from a November 2012 incident where he allegedly choked and sexually assaulted a female juvenile that was visiting her family for Thanksgiving.
