Sensible proposal has little chance

The issue: Bridgeport Democratic state Rep. Jack Hennessy had the temerity recently to introduce a bill in Hartford that would end the practice of Bridgeport city employees serving on the City Council, the legislative body that also approves the salaries of city employees.
