May 3 is Bristol's 'Pequabuck River Duck Race'

One near-certain sign of springtime is the Pequabuck River Duck Race, and this year it's scheduled for May 3. The Forestville Village Association and the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce are cosponsoring the community event that begins with a craft fair at 10 a.m. There'll be a block party at 11 with food, children's games, a DJ and more, followed by the launch of hundreds of toy ducks at 2 p.m. Tickets for the duck launch are available through the chamber at 860 584-4718.
