A Bridgeport man died early Sunday morning after a crash on the Merritt Parkway, one of two accidents in a short period of time which closed the highway for hours. Jesus Rivera , 27, of Bridgeport, died after his 1999 Honda Civic was rear-ended by another car in the southbound lane around 1:43 a.m., forcing the vehicle to the right shoulder of the roadway.
