George Verras, 55, of Bridgeport, was arrested on robbery and assault charges.

A 55-year-old Bridgeport man is facing robbery charges after he allegedly shoved a security guard at Super Stop & Shop , 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff, during an alleged shoplifting incident Monday afternoon. George Verras, of Morehouse Street in Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree assault and sixth-degree larceny.
